Word of the Week: GMO’s

Word of the Week: GMO’s

GMO stands for genetically modified organism. Genetic modification refers to the production of improvements that are heritable in plants or animals for specific uses. This falls under a larger term the USDA uses called Agricultural Biotechnology. The important thing to remember is that the USDA and FDA only allow safe and wholesome food products into the market.
